Yes fellow hiking fans - if you fancy a good walk in the Peak District then why not join us on the Crispin Inn (Great Longstone) Charity walk day on Saturday September 4th - when we'll be raising funds for the refurbishment and replacement of worn-out items on the childrens' playground in the village?
And there's a choice of walks too - a guided 2 mile stroll over the fields to Rowland and back (around 1.5 hours). There's also a 6 mile guided walk with local expert John Poulter (allow 3.5 hours) and an 11 mile circular tramp across to Litton and back via Monsal - this one comes with full walking instructions so you can run it round in double quick time or stroll to your hearts content, call in at the pubs en route or save yourself for the optional pie & peas in the Crispin Inn afterwards.
There's also a raffle (prizes wanted!) - and a suggested walk fee of £5 and £10 - although Sponsorship forms are available for those who don't want to pay but can raise funds via friends, colleagues and family!
For full details please visit the Great Longstone Charity walk day page at Let's Stay Peak District - the quality online guide to walks in the Peak District - the UK's first National Park!
C'mon - get your best foot forward, raise some money for the kids and enjoy a great walk in the Peak District into the bargain!
It's a breath of fresh air at any time of year...

Google disguises Sponsored Links to boost earnings!
Have you noticed how suddenly Google's Sponsored Links are suddenly looking less, well er, Sponsored - and now looking more like Organic Serps results? No? Hmmm, didn't think so - but then, that's the idea - doh!
Yes, obviously, Internet behemoth Google is also feeling the credit crunch and has decided to dupe the less forensic amongst us by disguising its Sponsored links to look more like organic results - thus increasing its already mammoth commission earnings at the expense of small businesses like ours.
Cmon Google - play the game!
